I received some emails recently concerned by the amount of sweetness in a low-fat, high fruit raw vegan diet. As expected, many of you are not very used to the sweetness of fruit
To solve the problem, many beginners Foodista first green salt alternatives and / or nuts, avocado seeds and fresh fruit.
Big Mistake
There are 2 problems with this approach:
Green 1. And the vegetables are low in calories
2. Nuts, seeds, and avocados are foods rich in fat

Side note: I mean the Hass Avocado here. There are lawyers with lower percentages of fat, like some varieties of Florida, but are not as readily available.
While there is nothing intrinsically wrong with this, it becomes a problem when these foods are replaced by fruit and consumed in mass quantity. perfectibly If acceptable to eat a book (or two) of the fruit in one sitting is a recipe for disaster in terms of fat.
Excess fat has been linked to obesity, heart disease, atherosclerosis, and even depression.

Therefore, I am with many doctors and health institutions - including Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. Douglas Graham, Dr. Dean Ornish, and Pritikin Longevity Center - by recommending a diet low in fat for optimum health. This equals about 1-2 ounces of nuts or ½ - 1 / 3 of a lawyer per day (depending on your calorie needs).
This means that if you decide to replace the sweet fruit of the fat, keep in small quantities. Let you add 1 teaspoon of soup to nuts in the example above salad. This still only gives you about 350 calories!
And that's assuming you can actually eat a salad as a mountain in one sitting. I'm very proud of my achievements when it comes to eating fruit. However, 8 ounces of lettuce and a lot vegetable?
No way, Jose!
With the low amount of calories in this dish, you will be back in the kitchen, looking for more fuel (probably as simple carbohydrates) within the hour.
What to do?
The simplest solution is to eat more sweet fruits. But you're sick of candy!
We seem to have turned full circle, right?
Not really.
There is tasty solution.

Green smoothies, that is!
A green smoothie - known among gourmets and low fat raw Foodista alike - is a fruit smoothie with added vegetables. Sure, you've probably heard of them. But have you ever tried one?
Here's a tasty recipe first:
- 3 bananas
- 1 quart strawberries
- Handful or two of romaine
Mix everything. Add water to get the texture you want. I like my smoothies thin they tend to add a few cups mixture.
Why works
The concept of Green Works beaten (to guess) 2 reasons:
1. There is always fruit, providing quality fuel and the fullness of her body.
2. The green helps reduce softness.
Even if the Greens (in contrast to the beautiful image in this post, often times more serious look), green smoothies are a meal very fruity.
As seen in the previous recipe, the batter is still mainly fruit. Green has only a handful or two of the Romans.
Is this small amount of "green-ness" that provides a bright, comfortable net for food. The drink is always sweet, but not so sick.
You can also add more fruits or make more than one batter to meet their calorie needs.
